As CEO at Lightning Capital Jason oversees the asset management business, which is a multi-fund strategy, focusing on data, artificial intelligence, and blockchain innovation.
A serial entrepreneur, Jason co-founded Centric Digital in 2009, where as CEO he grew the company from inception to over $45M in US sales and $125M+ enterprise value while overseeing 300 employees globally. Within five years of its creation, Centric Digital became an industry leader in digital transformation insights and consulting, serving S&P 500 companies in Healthcare, Finance, and Retail, while achieving #34 on the Inc. 500 list and recognition as New York State's #1 fastest-growing company. He previously co-founded and served as CEO of Sagesecure LLC, a digital asset risk & analytics company that provided security measurement to the S&P 500 globally. Throughout his career, he has advised the senior executive leadership of companies around the world including Rio Tinto, Humana, AIG, JP Morgan, and American Express.
Since exiting Centric Digital, Jason has been an active venture investor in high-tech early-stage and growth equity companies; he also sits on several private and public company boards and acts as an advisor to their management teams. He has published two critically acclaimed books on digital risk and company management with McGraw-Hill and Pearson, has been a contributing monthly columnist at INC.com, and is a frequent guest lecturer and speaker on leadership, digital strategy, and investing. He is an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Semi-Finalist and Cranes Fast 40 Entrepreneur. He has a BA in Economics and Statistics from Union College and is a graduate of the KPMG Quantumshift Executive Management program at the Michigan University Ross school of business.
Jason is an active philanthropist who has served on the board of Partnership with Children in NYC in addition to several other nonprofit organizations in the New York area where he grew up. He has been a member of several professional and social clubs for many years and is an instrumental member of the Young Presidents Organization, where he has been active for over fifteen years. He served on the board of directors of YPO Manhattan for over seven years where he helped shape the direction of the chapter as its Chairman. He also maintains memberships at the Union Club of New York City, the Moore Club of Miami, and the Miami Gateway Chapter of YPO, where he serves on the board of directors.
Beyond his professional achievements, Jason is a lifelong avid boater and fisherman, with expertise in saltwater, freshwater, and fly-fishing. He frequently captains his own boat offshore searching for tuna and other pelagic saltwater species. He is also passionate about outdoor adventure—hiking, biking, climbing, skiing, and adventure travel.
